Our Babies

We plan to have 1-2 litters of Portuguese Water Dog pups this year, available to great homes only please!
All of our puppies are the classic brown or black PWDs with white markings, as we prefer to stick to the AKC breed standard. The Portuguese Water Dog breed has become increasingly in-bred over the recent decades, as you can see in the quality of the puppies that are being produced. As a result, many PWDs now have COIs (Coefficient Of Inbreeding) above 30%.
We aim for a low COI of < 20% in our PWD line!
We DO offer breeding rights to a select few families every year, for an additional $1,500. We're pretty selective in the types of home environments for our pups, and generally accept only families or hobby breeders for breeding rights requests. If you are interested, please do not be afraid to ask! We all have to start, somewhere. ☺️
Finally, puppies are not stuffed animals! We do not use any AI or photo editing for any of our photos. (Other than watermarks, that is.) We don't believe is "merchandising" our puppies, so other than a simple blanket or basket, we stage our photos as little as possible. All puppies go pee and poo, yelp when scared, and are full of love, life and curiosity. We honor these babies for what they are.
